Xlendi, at the foot of a stunning valley, is Gozo's second-largest beach resort. Once a sleepy fishing hamlet, it is today a popular destination for island natives and visitors alike. Even with all the construction, the region is still beautiful; you can see the traditional, brilliantly colored fishing boats and find a quiet spot to swim, read, or dive.

The bay's clear waters are ideal for swimming, and there are separate areas for watersports and swimming. Down the left side, you'll find a paved boardwalk with numerous ladders leading into the water, as well as a diving board. Water sports such as jet skis, paddle boats, kayaks, and private charters are readily available for adventurous tourists who want to explore the local coastline and caverns.

The Bay is surrounded by beautiful scenery on all sides; to the right are the towering cliffs and to the left are the Il-Kantra Valley, Watchtower, and Saltpans, all of which are worth checking out. A tiny promenade features souvenir shops, ice cream parlors, and beautiful seaside restaurants, many of which are open from breakfast to evening.

At night, the area takes on a distinctly festive and romantic atmosphere, perfect for a holiday date.
