Ta Beppe is a 300-year-old farmhouse in the sleepy Gozo village of Zebbug. This home has been renovated to a high standard and features modern bathrooms, but it still retains many of the historic features that make homes like this so special. Ta Beppe exudes allure and history, from its picturesque vaulted ceilings and traditional stone floors to its quaint nooks and crannies.

This farmhouse has three spacious double bedrooms that are flooded with natural light and furnished in a charming country style with wooden and iron pieces. There are closets, drawer chests, nightstands, and full-length mirrors in each room. Two of the house's three bathrooms are located on the second floor, near the bedrooms; both feature showers.

The front door opens into a cozy foyer with a built-in seating area and a washing machine. At the end of the bright hall is a workstation with a chair and a bathroom with a toilet, a sink, and an open shower. Just around the corner is a room that can be used as a double or a pair of singles. Ahead, you'll find the spacious kitchen, dining area, and living room. There's a fireplace, complete with wood, right here, too. This is safe for kids to use because it has a protective metal guard. A brand-new gas stove, electric oven, kettle, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher are just some of the brand-new features in this kitchen. To accommodate a larger quantity of guest supplies, there are two refrigerators.

There is a pool and a separate Jacuzzi in the outdoor space.

There is a charcoal grill BBQ , wooden sun loungers, a table and chairs, and plenty of space to sit outside and enjoy the mild weather.

The two additional bedrooms and a small terrace with table and chairs can be reached via an exterior traditional staircase located across the pool area. Guests can choose between a double bed and two single beds in the room with the most floor space. It includes a private bathroom outfitted with a sink, toilet, and open shower. There is a spacious bathroom with a toilet, sink, and walk-in shower, as well as a double bed, in the second bedroom.

Gozo Area Information

Zebugge

Zebbuġ stretches out on a quiet hill in northern Gozo, providing breathtaking views of the island's countryside and the Mediterranean. It's known for its traditional craftsmanship and has many notable landmarks, including a beautiful parish church and quaint street shrines. Because the Maltese word for olives is iebbu, it's likely that olive groves and olive presses were once located here.

In 1738, a large deposit of onyx was discovered on a slope on the outskirts of the village called is-Sagtrija (The Wild Thyme Field), which faces Ta' urdan Lighthouse. The ie-ebbu church in Malta is home to the most impressive piece of onyx art out of all the churches on the islands of Malta and Gozo. This semiprecious stone is used to cover it. This onyx was carved into the shape of the high altar, the choir, and the baptistery.

The locals refer to the Immaculate Conception altarpiece in a chapel in the left transept as "tal-Virtut," so it is only fitting that it receives special attention (of the miracles). Legend has it that whenever a natural disaster is on the horizon, the normally glowing face of the Virgin Mary takes on a sickly yellow hue. It is also said that a woman resembling the one depicted in the altarpiece appeared at the scene and hurled stones at the invading corsairs when they dared to destroy the countryside as far as the village.

The bizzilla (lace), nsi' (weaving), and kutri tas'uf (sheep's wool blankets) made by the i-ebbuin (locals of i-ebbu) are among the finest in the world. Shepherds will find the nearby countryside to be in their element. Some of the best bejniet on the island of Gozo is made from the milk of their sheep (traditional little cheeses).

The villager's pride in their religious history is evident in the meticulous upkeep of the street niches (shrines). The most excellent is the ta-iri of il-Madonna Omm tal-niena.

Marsalforn, Qbajjar, and Xwejni Bays are all easily accessible from this picturesque village. All of these locations provide safe harbor for the area's fishing vessels and are frequented by swimmers and scuba divers.
